The integration between Decos Document & SharePoint 2007 offers you the best of these two applications. SharePoint and Decos both have their own solutions. SharePoint is focusing more on communication, integration of sources of information (portal functionality) and collaboration. Decos D5 is focusing on structural management of files, documents and folders with all required aspects of archive compliance. 

The integration in detail

All functionality which is available to Decos users is now also available via the SharePoint portal. All Decos documents, folders and pending items are visible as integrated web parts in SharePoint. Users can individually decide which web part has to be on their own customized screen.

A great advantage is that users work with Decos Document via a recognizable Microsoft environment. Which web parts are displayed can be decided at an organization level or by the end user. Complete personalization of the portal is achieved in this way. Users have direct access from the SharePoint interface to the projects in Decos. Each document can be opened directly in Decos and can be processed if the required authorization level has been allocated. Through the integration SharePoint has all the functionalities at disposal to offer complete document and record management.
